“ Big Z has been a staple in Simi Valley for several years. Very accommodating for our neighborhood. Their actual establishment is great for kids and parents to blow off some steam and enjoy games and food. The food is my go-to I love ordering to-go 1-2 times a month. They have amazing pizza and delicious Mediterranean options to choose from. Definitely always recommend. ”
“ Absolutely delicious. Moved 9 years ago. It was already here and I never tried it. Saw that Mediterranean options were on the menu, so I thought I'd give it a try. I got a Greek salad with chicken. The house dressing is delicious and the salad was huge. Sorry I didn't try it when I lived here, but I'll be back. Awesome service by the owner I believe. In any event, it's 5 star. ”
“ The is truly the only 1 dollar sign restaurant in existence and I love them for that. Ordering was quick. The menu hasn't changed since the last time I came here half a year ago. I'm shocked the prices are still the same. I got the falafel plate with two extra falafel balls. It took about 15 minutes to come out which was longer than I expected so I suggest calling ahead if you're getting to-go. The plate was different than what I ordered last time. Last time, I got my falafel in a wrap with the salad and all inside but I kinda like how I got to build it myself this time. My container had the falafel laid atop a bed of yellow rice, a side of salad and a side of hummus, a very decent portion for what I paid. The falafel tasted dry the first day but when eating it again at home when reheating it the next day, it was rather flavorful even without sauce. With the hummus, it was even better. The beige sauce was nice and savory. The tzatziki was refreshing. The pita bread was the kind you'd get in a bag of ten from the grocery store. My friends don't really like this place but I love the value you get here and I feel like the flavor is good and it's filling. It looks a little sad inside though. The arcade is shut off unless a kid comes in and requests to play on them. The indoor seating is spacious but the red tables are unsettling. It's a dead arcade turned restaurant aesthetic. I wish the food cooking was faster considering they're just a restaurant now and weren't busy at all when I ordered. Server could've been just a little nicer but it was all good. ”
“ Best pizza in town! Big Z never misses, prices are far beyond reasonable. Service is amazing! Support your local mom and pop shop ”
“ Surprisingly delicious pizza. The rides were all turned off, but I asked the girl to turn them on for my nieces & nephew, and she did so quickly. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves and that was my goal for a day out with Auntie!! Followed up our pizza date with a trip down the street to Baskin Robbin's ”
“ I went there at night. Nobody was around. There was a young lady sitting at the table, looking at her phone. When I asked her for help, she got up. After she took my pizza order, she went back on her phone and laptop. I wanted to ask more questions, but it seemed, the only thing she wanted to do was watch her phone and look at her social media. It felt that I was a ghost, just walking around, waiting for the food to be made. When the pizza was ready, the cook gave me my pizza box and I left. The young lady didn't say anything and was still looking at her phone and laptop. The place was cold. None of the games were on. It was cold outside as well as inside. The young lady did say Big Z was a larger restaurant, but they had to share the space with another business, which is why there were only a few games. The pizza had little sauce. I was kinda expecting more. It was mostly cheese and pepperoni, but it tasted great. In the end, while the food was great, I wished the service was a little better. The other workers at the restaurant, were cleaning up while the young lady just sat there, looking at her phone. Which is why I'm giving the place a four star. Maybe, in the future, I'll stop during the day and buy their sandwiches. Hopefully, the service will improve, and I'll change my review to a five star. ”
“ I found this place from the Simi Valley Foodies Facebook page. I saw a picture of the Chicken Kabob Plate and that's what I ordered! It was freakin delicious! I was surprised because you gotta find Big Z's since it's next to the Dominos. I always drove by this place but I had no idea it was serving up amazing food! The Hummus was spectacular with the Pita bread! The Chicken & Rice was so tasty and the prices are very reasonable! Amazing service tho! I ordered takeout so couldn't say much about the Ambiance inside, but all I know is that Big Z's got some good foods ”
“ Chef Ammar and his team catered my mom's 75th birthday celebration this weekend (09/28/24). We had about 80 guests and I swear every single guest LOVED everything that was served - from appetizers to main dishes to the desserts. Many of our guests wanted to meet Chef! In addition the AMAZING food, the level of service by the 2 chefs and 3 servers exceeded our expectations. The whole team was super attentive to all of our guests needs and received so much positive feedback. Chef Ammar was a pleasure to work with prior to the event and offered excellent suggestions for the event which worked out so much better than what I had planned. Thank you so much Chef Ammar and Team for making my mom's 75th birthday a success!!!! ”
“ Big Z for the win! If you want delicious food at a reasonable cost try this place. My favorite is the chicken kabob. My husband enjoys their chicken parmigiana. Their menu is a mixture of Mediterranean, Italian food, and pizza. They have a nice space for a party. There are usually arcade games ( selling them currently). When we asked they said eventually they are getting new ones. ”
